| in addition to my FSAE experience. I did not directly put Nissan 300ZX or anything in those lines, if they asked in the interview I mentioned it. Just included the fact that I have automotive experience and elaborated with what I am familiar with. Since I am in the engineering field, employers like hiring engineers that are OK with getting dirt under their fingernails and are not only focused on sitting behind a desk. I mentioned to them I am capable of using hand tools and know how to operate CNC machinery. For my interview I took in a portfolio showing various things I did during my FSAE tenure and I also had various work I did on my 300ZX including the engine rebuild. I showed them my hand calculations regarding engine clearances for the bearings (simple stuff like figuring out bearing clearances) and pictures of when I had the engine apart and the process it took to put everything back together. Long story short, the panel that interviewed me loved it and I got hired. The irony of it all is that I don't even work in the automotive field. They loved the fact that I was capable of learning and actually accomplishing what I was focusing on.
Buy Zama Posters Here I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
